Rachael won a NCAA national championship with the University of Portland in 2005, played pro soccer in Europe in 2010, and eventually retired to pursue her passion in the health and fitness industry. Leveraging her Masters in Health and Exercise Science from PSU, Rachael went on to build Rapinoe SC–a soccer performance training company & lifestyle apparel brand with her twin, US Soccer star sister, Megan. Having recently consulted as women’s soccer strength and conditioning coach for Division I Colleges, Rachael continues to apply her expertise in training, competition and recovery in an effort to better understand the role recovery has in performance and the human body. With her network of influential athletes and passion for competing, Rachael shapes Mendi’s products to meet the relevant demand in sports.

As a major agent for change for legalization and be taken seriously, Freeman built Oso Verde Farms with co-Founder Britt Price from scratch in an effort to advocate not just for the public benefit of cannabis, but to also champion her vision for social justice and equal opportunities. Having led operations for one of the largest farms in Humboldt, Kendra has deep expertise she brings to Mendi connecting market opportunities with the supply-chain know-how needed to ship products. She has the magic ability to comprehend the nuances of plants at a molecular level while keeping her perspective elevated to keep Mendi’s eyes and ears on the horizon of a rapidly shifting market.

Britt has been a cannabis grower for nearly a decade with the same deep roots as Freeman as Oso Verde and Mendi Co-founders. He’s proud of his work at Oso Verde building Oregon’s first farm advocating for social justice, fair labor, equal opportunities and environmental sustainability. His successes and failures pulling off this tall order provided him with the expertise and creative problem solving he’s bringing to the Mendi team in an effort to carry forward the same principle-led ideas for athletes. Prior to his cannabis career, Britt worked as an architect for a for a multi-national firm and as a Marketing Manager for various startups in Silicon Valley.

While earning his BFA in Visual Communication Design at the University of Washington he served as the lacrosse team captain and paddled his handmade kayak through the Inside Passage to Alaska. Brett’s fascination with building a healthy and active lifestyle, rethinking the status quo and helping others overcome challenges laid a foundation for the role he brings to the Mendi team. With experience designing for brands such as evo, Slingshot, Nimbus Independent, Keen and Modoc, Brett has built a trusted network of pro athletes and outdoor industry experts. From his home base in Hood River, Oregon he captures the invaluable first-hand insights needed to build great products for an active audience.

Megan joins Mendi’s board at a demanding time this summer while she was laser focused on helping the USWNT win back-to-back FIFA World Cup titles, in France. While she is at the peak of her career in terms of fitness and impact on the game, Megan has already cemented her legacy as one of the most influential U.S. soccer players ever to play, especially after grabbing Golden Boot and Golden Ball in the 2019 WWC. In tandem with a career playing for the Seattle Reign, FC, her training and coaching company Rapinoe SC has inspired thousands of young girls and boys directly with hands on tools to help them realize their full potential. Mendi couldn’t be more excited to have Megan’s guidance and representation as our first athlete ambassador. Her demanding style of play, sense of humor, humility, relentless work ethic and advocacy for social progress is the personification of our brand. Upon her return from France this summer we’ll be rolling up our sleeves and getting right to work collaborating on upcoming projects and opportunities where we can evolve our initial product line.

30+ years of sports science experience, Ohio State University wrestling captain, Big Ten Champ and cannabinoid applied science expert.

Don has jumped on our Board at a pivotal time to help us prepare for our launch. He is an exercise physiologist who specializes in understanding and directing individual changes that alleviate suffering. With Don’s help, we will elevate the Mendi product and brand experience to meet the demands of the world’s most elite athletes, while making sure that we logically educate and bring our broader audience up to speed with the positive aspects of cannabis and exercise. Don has a decade’s worth of expertise when it comes to the role cannabinoids play in the human central nervous system. He has the unique ability to communicate in simple terms the complexity behind our vast endocannabinoid system and how it relates to sports performance in the human body. His work has led to successful wins for the many athletes, students, brands and product advances he’s helped coach and move forward in the industry. His work at the Exercise Science Program at Urbana University and Human Performance Center at Columbus State Community College give Mendi the fire power we need to launch full throttle.

Rounding out our Board is the ultimate baller and finance and strategy guru. Tahira earned her MBA from the Yale School of Management and went on to become the General Manager at Marley Natural, a cannabis brand, where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the company, from marketing to product development to finance. After launching and growing Marley, Tahira joined Hypur Ventures, a cannabis VC fund, became CFO of MTech Acquisition Corp., a cannabis focused special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), and now is a partner of Big Tent Ventures and president of T3 Ventures. What makes Tahira an absolute value to the Mendi team is her ability to provide advice on everything from financials to brand rollouts and venture capital funding. She knows how to get it all done. With Tahira on our deep bench of talent, we are ready and able to make a splash in the sports industry with with cannabis.
